Rideau Hall - Minto Wing - Admin Wing Office Fit-up
Ottawa, Ontario

The Minto Wing was added by the Earl of Minto in 1899 to the Rideau Hall residence, a Classified Heritage building. To accommodate increased staffing space requirements, and to address deteriorated conditions and environments, RMA was engaged to implement a two-phased renovation. Phase 1 included as-found drawings, identification and preservation of heritage elements, historic paint analysis, code analysis and upgrade options, design layouts; construction documents for deconstruction and hazardous materials remediation, civil services and structural repairs. Phase 2 included construction drawings and contract administration for office fit-up, washrooms and millwork and mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems. Ancillary work was undertaken in the floors above, at the roof top and in the main house.
