"Working with Roberston Martin Architects both on commercial projects (Play food & wine) and residential (the complete reconstruction of our home in Westboro), has been nothing but rewarding, both personally and professionally. Rather than selling grand visions, their interactive style and subtle influence are able to capture a client's highest desires while highlighting the beauty of the design, when people engage personally with the space. Their model is intuitive rather than flashy, representing the elegance that exists when form and function meet. Their commitment to extraordinary customer service and intimate professional connection with their partners, exactly mirrors our restaurant's philosophy, leaving their clients raving about not only the end result, but the process as well. I only wish that I had known them years ago when we were designing our first project. I can't wait to build another restaurant with them just to share more of their stunning designs with Ottawa's dining public".

The Assunnah Muslims Association has had the privilege of working with the Robertson Martin team on the design and technical implementation of a community mosque at 1216 Hunt Club Road in Ottawa. While working on this noble project, the AMA was highly impressed by the integrity and commitment to quality demonstrated by Robertson Martin Inc. Their team put a tremendous amount of time and effort into researching Islamic culture, heritage and architectural design and were highly committed to meeting our specific objectives. I, personally, can attest to their unwavering support and high degree of integrity for both the assignment and members of our organization. The associates of Robertson Martin worked in collaboration with our organization to ensure our complete satisfaction and displayed a high caliber of professionalism and respect. Furthermore, they took the time to learn about Islamic culture and values in order to personalize and complement their work.

I strongly recommend Robertson Martin Architects Inc. without reservation based on their technical and management expertise. Having worked with them firsthand, I can vouch, with confidence that they will strive to fulfill your expectations and possibly even surpass them.

Sincerely,
Jalil Marhnouj

Letter of Recommendation
To whom it may concern,
While I was Ambassador of Egypt, in Ottawa, I selected Robertson Martin Architects to renovate our official Residence. I never regretted this decision. I was always impressed by their high caliber, professionalism, efficiency and calm. It was actually a pleasure working with the Robertson Martin team. The work was finished in an excellent way, as it was intended and planned.

We first met Robert Martin in 1984, just after moving to Old Ottawa South. We wanted to install a gas fireplace with bookshelves on either side in our living room. We consulted several contractors, but none were able to grasp what we had in mind. When we approached Robert he knew immediately what we were looking for and quickly produced a lovely design which fitted perfectly the character of the house.

Since then we’ve worked with the Robertson Martin team on various projects at the house: complete renovation of two bathrooms, kitchen, study/library with purpose built bookshelves, a large family room with built-in cupboards at either side of a gas fireplace and leading off it, a large covered porch looking over the back garden. The front porch was also replaced using a Robertson Martin design.

When we decided to downsize to a condominium apartment, we again contacted the team. Scott Dare was primarily responsible for undertaking a complete renovation of the space. He and the contractor worked seamlessly together and Scott ensured that all the timelines were met. Robert Martin and Danica Robertson also provided valuable input.

A willingness to listen and work with our expectations, timelines and schedule characterizes the collaborative approach of the team with their clients. The production of elegant, yet functional designs with great attention to detail typifies the project approach. As we enjoy our beautifully designed, comfortable apartment, we realize how fortunate we are to have met with this remarkable team.
